- vacummed the whole house
- cleaned the bathrooms
- mopped the kitchen
- loaded, washed and unloaded 2 loads of dishes from the dishwasher
- finished my Christmas shopping
- went to the grocery store
- went to the dry cleaners
- wrapped the rest of my Christmas gifts
- did 3 loads of laundry (folded and put away)
- cooked Marino's lunch for next week (Evan's suggestion: homemade mac and cheese with groundbeef for extra protein...which looks suspiciously like Hamburger Helper)
- cooked pad thai to eat for dinner next week
- did the 30 Day Shred
- and I still found time to clear out half of the shows on my DVR!
Can someone please tell me what in the world I did with all my free time before I had Marino? I did all that in 10 hours...what would I do with a whole other day in the weekend to blow?
Here's a couple of pictures from Evan and Marino's visit to Philadelphia.

After Marino and Evan got home, Marino was pretty wired, so we watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Have you watched that lately? Santa is so mean in that show! He's rude to the elves, the reindeer, he totally ignores the does, etc. I don't remember that from when I was a kid, but I was pretty shocked watching it this year. I think the Grinch is nicer than that Santa!!
On Sunday, our friends Sandra and Ishmael came over for dinner with their baby, AJ. Marino was very interested in the "baby" as he called him. AJ enjoyed pulling hair, which Marino kept tattletelling on AJ about even an hour after it happened! It was great to see them...AJ is a very sweet and content baby!
Baby AJ - isn't he adorable?
Randomly the boys had on matching bibs!
Adorable pics of the babies! Sorry Marino, you still fall into the baby category!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see what I could do in a ten hour window! Wow! Way to go, Mama!!!
I keep meaning to ask if Marino has had anymore leg issues???
I know what I would do with that extra day on the weekend without a toddler in tow. Take a LOOOOOONNG nap. It's the only proper thing to do with an extra kid-free weekend day.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty awesome to have time to myself. It was the longest child-free stretch of time I've had since Marino was born! Laura, I wish I took a nap but I am not that great at napping!
ReplyDeleteJill, ever since the gave him steroids in the hospital when he had pneumonia, the leg issue has been gone. I really think it was a rare, arthritic reaction to the MMR vaccine and the steroids just helped him get out of it quicker (he was on IV steroids for 2 days and oral steroids for a week). Thankfully, he's had no more issues!
