Last Weekend in Pictures

Richelle and I visited the last market of the season at the Fenton Street Market. It was freezing but there were lots of great vendors there.

Sunday we went over to Gramma Deb's to visit with family and have dinner. Marino got his presents from Gramma Deb, including the new Leap Pad. He loves it!

Aside from his not feeling great, we had a fun time. Marino tried chitlins for the first time and loved them, to which Pop Pop (his great grandfather) declared "That boy has soul!" He even got to play video games with his cousins. Lots of fun!

This Weekend...

...we went bowling for the first time with friends. Marino LOVED it!

...Aunt RiRi was in town from R.I. and she came over to play...she's awesome!

Mommy ran her first 10k....

Marino and Evan were there to cheer me on.

I was slow (I always am), but I ran every last bit of the 6.2 miles and I felt great (aside from being cold!).

We also had storytime and a playdate. Busy, fun way to start November!

Low Key Weekend

We had an unexpectedly low key weekend last week. We spent lots of time snuggling, reading, playing with trains and cars. It was nice enough to go for a walk both Saturday and Sunday. Marino LOVES being outside. When I tell him it's time to go in, he always says "I want to stay outside. I don't want to leave the park!"

We got a chance to see Aunt RiRi before she headed back to college after Spring Break. It was great to see her, as always, and we are really proud of how well she is doing at Brown. After she left, Marino said "I want Aunt RiRi again." I told him she had to leave and he said "Aw, man!".

Looking forward to seeing her in May!

Quick Updates...

On Tuesday, Evan, Marino and I got a chance to visit Sandra, Ishmael and Baby AJ. He's changed so much since we last saw him! He's adorable, as you can see here...
What's better than an aunt visiting? 2 aunts visiting! Here's a picture of Marino visiting with both of his aunts (Richelle and Rianne) last night. Marino is a lucky boy.
Marino has been standing for longer and longer periods of time independently. Both last night and tonight, he stood on his own for 10 seconds! Unfortunately, the toe standing/cruising continues. One day we will laugh about it, I'm sure. In the meantime, can the whole world (not all you wonderful people reading this blog, of course) stop asking me "Is he walking yet?" and then pull the sad face when I say no?!! Seriously, I get asked that a MINIMUM of half a dozen times a day. And I really don't want to hear about how your kid was walking at 7 months or whatever, ok? The average age for walking is 10-18 months so until January, get off my back. Marino's non-walking certainly isn't due to a lack of effort on either of our parts. I don't need further doubt put in my head about Marino's development; I already spend a significant part of my day with a furrowed brow over that very topic. If you all could pass that message on to the rest of the world, I would appreciate it!!
